The Most Expensive Home in America Is a Must-See $74M California Waterfront Estate

When it comes to real estate, the perfect location can command top dollar when it comes time to sell.

That’s the case with this week’s most expensive home on Realtor.com®: a $74 million SoCal estate spanning two lots in the prime locale of Harbor Island in Newport Harbor. It’s one of just a few original estates built in the gated community and presents “the last opportunity of its kind,” according to the listing.

Other pricey properties to hit the market include a ranch on thousands of acres in Colorado, a two-story penthouse at the Four Seasons Private Residences in Boston, and a lakefront legacy estate in Washington state.

Scenic setting: This 12,900-square-foot gated mansion offers views from the Los Padres Mountains to Santa Monica Bay.

Built in 2021, the sleek six-bedroom home features a free-flowing floor plan. The living room boasts a retractable wall of glass, which opens to a terrace overlooking a saltwater pool.
