Cue the fireworks: A residential confection in Cutchogue, NY—inspired by Disneyland’s Main Street—has hit the market for $4.75 million.

Known as The Big Blue House, the seven-bedroom, waterfront property sits along North Fork’s West Creek.

From the colorful pink and blue exterior to the 32-foot, indoor pool with a “water park slide,” as the listing notes, the Victorian-style property offers a fun playground for all ages.

“The family went on vacation to Disneyland and took pictures of Main Street when they were there, to recreate what they loved,” says listing agent Sheri Winter Clarry, of Corcoran North Fork. “It’s an Italianate Victorian that was inspired by the Victorian style of Disney and also Old Town Fort Collins in Colorado. People have also said it reminds them of Ken and Barbie’s Dream House.”

The 2006 construction is certainly imaginative. Double doors open to an inviting black-and-white-tile foyer. A nearby sitting room has a stone fireplace, built-in bookshelves, beautiful hardwood floors, and French doors that offer outdoor access.

The enormous kitchen abounds with custom cabinets.

A U-shaped island, with granite countertops and a seating area, provides a great spot to enjoy the beautiful views.

Set on nearly 9 acres, the property accesses Peconic Bay and comes with deeded beach rights just steps from the 10,450-square-foot home.

“They bought the land and custom built the home here,” Clarry says. “They have five kids and wanted their home to be fun and a great place for everyone to enjoy. If they weren’t relocating out of state, they would stay here forever. This was their dream home.”

The place includes a primary suite with a fireplace and French doors that open to the terrace.

And the children’ bedrooms have been designed with playful colors.

“The kids picked different themes in their rooms,” Clarry says.

And when it comes to entertaining, the 32-foot pool and hot tub really make a splash.

The outdoor fireplace is also a great spot to enjoy the glorious grounds.

“The land itself is spectacular, sitting on almost 9 acres,” says Clarry. “The spot itself is incredible. It is near North Fork Country Club, shops, restaurants, and vineyards, so it is surrounded by the best of everything.”

A variety of potential buyers could be enticed by this property, but Clarry has her own ideas about who might ultimately snag the place.

“I think it will go to someone who entertains a lot, but it could also be someone who wants to run it as a bed-and-breakfast,” she says. “It’s a very large house and is sort of like a dollhouse that has come to life. It’s a really fun house, so it could also be [for] someone who wants to be on the water kayaking, fishing, or boating.”
