Sen. Raphael Warnock Lands a New Home in DC for $1.1M

After a tightly contested Senate race, Raphael Warnock prevailed. His next stop? A new home in Washington, DC, for which he laid out $1,149,000.

Warnock made history in 2020 when he became the first Black senator from Georgia, doing so in a special election that went to a runoff. He repeated the feat in 2022, beating Herschel Walker in another runoff and securing a full six-year term in Congress.

His new capital digs are modest by some standards but beautifully renovated. The 1,780-square-foot townhome includes four bedrooms and 3.5 baths, arranged across about 1,780 square feet.

The new owner will approach the home on freshly planted sod and grass, and then enter a luxe great room with an open floor plan.

Kitchen, dining, and living spaces are combined and flow nicely to the end of the unit, where a deck and a pretty view await.

At more than a century old, the row house features both charm and fresh updates. There are new stainless-steel appliances, a wine fridge, and quartz details in the kitchen. And there is a private rear entrance on the lower level, which features a bedroom, a second living room or den, and a full bathroom.

But the best amenity in this city is certainly off-street parking, which this home has—two spots, in fact.

In addition to serving our nation in Congress, Warnock is the senior pastor at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta—the same parish that was once led by Martin Luther King Jr.

Warnock also owns an elegant residence in his home state. The 3,000-square-foot home in Atlanta sits on a third of an acre and features two fireplaces, three bedrooms, and a fenced backyard.
