MLB’s Luis Robert Moiran Scores a $12.3M Florida Mansion

Chicago White Sox outfielder Luis Robert Moiran just hit a grand slam with his latest home purchase.

The waterfront mansion in Weston, FL, sits on nearly 1.5 acres along the waterway of west Broward County.

Professionally known as Luis Robert, the outfielder, who is just 25, splurged on the seven-bedroom mansion for $12.25 million.

The deal comes after the Cuban-born pro signed a six-year, $50 million contract with the White Sox in 2020. The contract includes two options that could bring the total haul to as much as $88 million.

Florida home base

The 12,323-square-foot mansion includes a spacious family room and a kitchen equipped with custom cabinets, double islands, and built-in seating.

Luxury amenities include an elevator, Turkish Carrara marble flooring, a tiered home theater, a home gym, and Savant Smart Home technology.

The grounds feature flowering plants, shrubs, and a butterfly sanctuary.

Outdoor amenities include a heated infinity pool, a fountain with fire bowls, an in-ground spa that fits 12 people, a sport court with a basketball hoop, and a custom trampoline.

A separate entertainment area comes with a fireplace, flat-screen TV, and outdoor kitchen.

Record deal

The high-end home is located in the exclusive Windmill Ranch Estates neighborhood. It was custom-built in 2017 after the owners purchased the lot for $1.5 million in 2014.

The home was initially listed in 2021 for $14 million. It was relisted in April at the same price, which was reduced to $13 million after a few weeks.

Even at a discounted price, the sale of this fully furnished home set a record at $994 per square foot. It’s the most expensive real estate transaction in Weston.
