Williams, the first licensed African-American architect west of the Mississippi, designed homes for luminaries such as Frank Sinatra, Lucille Ball, and Howard Hughes.

As for this Mediterranean-style Spanish villa built in 1926, the property is located in Los Feliz, an area that became an elite Hollywood enclave long before Beverly Hills, Brentwood, and Bel-Air were developed.

Among the home’s historically unique attributes are colorful Talavera tile, hand-painted coffered ceilings, stained-glass windows, and custom wrought-iron railings designed by Williams himself.

In addition, there are Gothic arches, thick plaster walls, and a tiled roof.
