Fox News host Bret Baier is ready to part with his custom-built Washington, DC, estate.

The host of “Special Report With Bret Baier” and his wife, Amy Baier, recently listed their 16,250-square-foot home for $31.9 million.

If the property fetches the full asking price, it will set a residential sale record for the city.

Baier purchased the property for $5.4 million in 2018. After tearing down the original structure, he reportedly spent $25 million to build the lavish abode over three years.

He and his family moved in last year but have since decided to make a permanent move to Palm Beach, FL.

French-style features

Modeled after Chateau du Grand-Luc in France’s Loire Valley, the massive property includes five bedrooms, seven baths, and two half-baths.

From the grand gated entrance—which opens to a cobblestone motor court and marble fountain—to the double-height rotunda with a curved, floating staircase, it’s clear that no expense was spared on the design and building materials.

The interior aesthetic is a mix of modern minimalism and 0ld-world elegance. The living room features a custom bar and wine display that would make a collector’s jaw drop.

The marble-clad kitchen is open and well-equipped with a butler’s pantry and Miele, Wolf, and Sub-Zero appliances.

A fireplace, two primary baths, and two walk-in closets give the main suite a double dose of luxury. French doors open to a private, limestone terrace.

Other amenities include a screening room; spa and gym; two-story sport court; and golf simulator. When the weather’s nice, you can take your golf game outside to the private chipping and putting green. Then you can enjoy a dip in the 56-foot, heated pool.

Bret Baier is selling his Washington, DC, home for $32 million.

Baier and his family are relocating to the Sunshine State and living in the $37 million home Baier purchased this summer in an off-market deal. The 7,800-square-foot spread was renovated in 2015 and features five bedrooms and a private backyard with a pool and covered veranda.

The Palm Beach flip

Baier might have just shelled out for a new home in Palm Beach, but he’s still trying to offload a different property he purchased just last year in the same city.

That place, previously owned by fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger, hit the market in June for $16.5 million and still hasn’t attracted a buyer.

Hilfiger and his wife, Dee Ocleppo Hilfiger, bought the home in 2021 for $9 million and then flipped it, selling it to Baier for $12 million in 2022.

The contemporary three-bed, 4.5-bath abode at the north end of Palm Beach sits right outside the gates of the Palm Beach Country Club.

Baier hopes to sell this Palm Beach, FL, home for $16.5 million.
