Bidding Adieu: Arizona Cardinals Owner Michael Bidwill Selling His Paradise Valley Home for $5.8M

Michael Bidwill, whose family has owned the Arizona Cardinals football team since the 1930s, has announced it’s time to move closer to family. This means his home in Paradise Valley, AZ, is on the market for $5.8 million.

The six-bedroom, seven-bath mansion measures more than 8,500 square feet and sits on an acre and a third. It has commanding views of the Phoenix Mountain Preserve, Mummy Mountain, and Camelback Mountain.

There’s also a two-bedroom guesthouse with its own two-car garage.

The 2003 build offers deluxe living quarters.

Bidwill has reportedly made good use of the home, the Wall Street Journal notes. The fab pad has been the site of numerous parties, holiday celebrations, and, of course, countless football game viewings, which were probably held in the plush home theater.

Vino lovers, take note: The 1,800-bottle wine room is part of the swanky package. And there’s a wood-paneled office, a kitchen that opens to a family room, and a bar. A wraparound balcony offers inviting views.

It must be difficult for Bidwill to bid adieu to such a pretty place. Take the primary suite, which has a fireplace and a wet bar with a dishwasher, fridge, and ice maker for cold drinks—ideal after working out in the adjoining exercise room.

Outside, the property boasts an infinity pool, limestone waterfall, built-in grill, and patio with a fire pit.

The timing of Bidwill’s home sale seems a bit awkward as his own team’s venue in nearby Glendale is the 2023 Super Bowl location. Indeed, as befits football royalty, he’ll no doubt attend in person and watch from a luxury box.

Still, Bidwill stands to make a satisfying profit on the home, should he get an offer anywhere near the asking price. He snapped up the place in 2007 for $4,425,000.
