Actress and Comedian Kate Micucci Is Parting With Her Midcentury Modern Home in L.A.

Actress Kate Micucci, the co-creator and co-star of the comedy group Garfunkel and Oates, has listed her 1,600-square-foot home in Los Angeles for $3.5 million.

“The Big Bang Theory” actress and her husband, Jake Sinclair, bought the three-bedroom retro home in 2019 for $1.8 million. They “completed a major restoration, returning the living room back to its original footprint,” among other improvements, according to the listing.

The interiors boast wood-paneled walls and ceilings, new terrazzo flooring, built-in bookshelves, many windows, and new double-paned glass doors.

The funky floor plan includes a spacious dining area, and the galley kitchen comes with custom cabinets and an electric cooktop.

The cozy living room features a fireplace and sliders that open to a covered patio and a pool and spa.

The Ito House, as it’s known, was designed by architect Josef Van der Kar and built in 1962. The post-and-beam home sits on an acre lot and overlooks landscape designer Garrett Eckbo‘s Wonderland Park Project in Laurel Canyon.

All of the bedrooms, including the primary suite, have access to the pool. The backyard also features “expansive flat grounds, lawn, and gardens,” notes the listing.

The detached garage has been converted into a pool house/home theater. There is also a wood-paneled office with built-in cabinetry located next to the carport.

Micucci has also appeared in “Scrubs” and “Raising Hope.” She has also voiced animated characters Clayface in “The Lego Batman Movie” and Velma in the “Scooby Doo” franchise.
