‘Amistad’ Star Djimon Hounsou Is Offering Up His L.A. Property for $11,750 Per Month

Djimon Hounsou, who starred in “Blood Diamond” and “Gran Turismo,” is seeking a tenant for his Westchester, CA, property.

For $11,750 per month, you could live in the actor’s four-bedroom, four-bathroom home just minutes away from the boutiques and restaurants of Playa Vista.

The “Guardians of the Galaxy” actor reportedly purchased the property, which is a few miles from the beach, in 2020 for $2.1 million.

Eye-catching estate

The mansion built in 1990 is in a cul-de-sac in Westport Heights. It has more than 4,000 square feet of living space.

The main floor includes a great room with a beamed cathedral ceiling, walls of windows, and maple flooring. The sitting area with a fireplace and stone wall rounds out the space.

Off to the side, you’ll find a sleek kitchen with a center island, plenty of counter space, and appliances from Sub-Zero, Wolf, Viking, and Bosch.

The primary bedroom, which is also on the first floor, has dual closets, a fireplace, and a spa bathroom. This bedroom has access to a private courtyard dotted with rose bushes.

There are three additional bedrooms and two bathrooms upstairs. The coolest detail? An interior balcony connects each room. There are also multiple decks along with an outdoor hot tub and barbecue.

Amenities include a downstairs flex room, a laundry room, and a two-car garage.

The Benin-born actor, 59, had his breakthrough role when he starred in Steven Spielberg‘s “Amistad.” Since then, he’s acted in upwards of 70 movies, including “Gladiator,” “A Quiet Place Part II,” and “Shazam!” He has been nominated for several Academy Awards.
