Dana Shafir Health & Wellness Partner
Dana (pronounced with a soft "a") pursued her undergraduate studies at the University of Texas in Austin, earning a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. She continued her educational journey at Texas Woman’s University, where she obtained a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology and became a licensed professional counselor. For several years, Dana worked as a psychotherapist, until her passion for health and nutrition inspired her to incorporate these elements into her professional life. This integration was a natural progression, considering the significant influence our diet has on our perceptions of self, the world, and our interactions with others.
Completing the Health Coach Training Program at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, Dana had the privilege to study under pioneers in the fields of holistic nutrition, preventive health, and coaching techniques. Here, she also examined over 100 dietary theories, the knowledge of which she now leverages to facilitate real, lasting health improvements for her clients. Dana's personal experience with multiple food intolerances has provided her with a unique perspective on real-food diets. She has found that a clean-eating, whole foods approach best satisfies her nutritional needs.
Apart from her professional endeavors, Dana is a loving wife and mother to three strong, independent young women.
